  1. I've used NINJAM just a little. I thought it worked good.
  2. hi Elmer, I actually am your source from PW. This latest additional keyboards velocity presets, was in the recent Keyscape update. there are many many more presets. I am very busy at the moment. it will take a lot of time to type them all. is there perhaps a specific keyboard brand, or a couple, that you would like for me to check for you?
  3. hey Elmer, there are a whole ton more velocity presets for many more keyboards.
  4. ah, gotcha man. well, thank you very much for replying. Keyscape is my first Spectrasonics thing. I soooooo love it. looking forward to getting Omnisphere 2 and Creative someday. not in a rush. but one of these days.
  5. extra super Wow!! I thought I had no interest in Omnisphere 2. (I don't have 1 either.) I'm halfway through this video. its no brainer city, man. its not a question of IF I'm gettin it, its a question of WHEN. I wonder if they ever will have a sale on it? anybody know if thats a realistic possibility?
  6. the following is how I understand stuff: laptop processors are not as powerful as desktop processors. in addition to which, the Dell has an i5, not an i7. I also am surprised. it seems that Keyscape is a beast. it needs a strong computer. I have tried it with both of my interfaces: RME Babyface Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 no joy.
  7. I have a 3-4 year old hp, 4th gen i7, I think its quadcore. 16 gb ram, 5400 rpm hdd boot drive, msata ssd for sample library. not good enough. and a 6 month old Dell Inspiron, ssd boot drive, ssd for sample library,16 gb ram, 6th gen i5 quadcore. also not good enough. tweaked madly. turned off wifi, windows defender, and Windows firewall. no joy. actually, some instruments play fine. many glitch and dropout. alot. there is a feature called Thinning. it uses less samples. I do not like it. this is my experience. maybe you will have better luck. all of this said, I freakin passionately love Keyscape. I just need a stronger computer.
  8. I can only tell you about my experience. I have no idea how well it would work on your computer. what I do know is that, from my experience with Keyscape, on my laptops with Windows 10, it glitches/drops out galore. my thinking is, that Keyscape needs a dang strong computer.
  9. this is certainly an evolving thing for me. I love Keyscape. I am an amateur and only play for fun. I am not a great player. I am not real knowledgeable about computers. all that for disclaimers, caveats, whatevers. I have a new Dell Inspiron. it has 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. an i5 quad core. a 256 GB SSD and a 1TB SSD for samples. I loaded up Ravenscroft into UVI. 1 mic. sounds phenomenal. it plays perfect. I go wild playing. I cannot make it choke, glitch, drop out. it is excellent. I play Keyscape as a plugin in Reaper. C7 LA Custom. it does glitch, choke, dropout. it looks like I may be able to play it in UVI. maybe I should try it in there. as for load times, I have not paid a whole lot of attention to specifics. but, a quick comment regarding it.......the member who talked about 30 sec or more for complete load times sounds about the same for me. just sayin, for the heck of it.......I bought Ravenscroft right away, when it came out. tons of glitching (on an older laptop, must note). that said, it was not a small file. high 30's GB's, maybe. then VI Labs did some FLAC thing. that reduced it to less than 5 GB. just wondering if that could someday happen to Keyscape. only because of my desire for no glitching, drop outs......
  10. thank you for posting this. I just watched the whole thing. it is absolutely phenomenal. I am so happy I bought this. its just such an embarrassment of riches. horn of plenty. cup runneth over. sooooo many great sounds. this thing at the price its going for is an absolute steal. a gift. all my humble opinion. ymmv of course. but for me, this rocks my casbah!!
  11. played some more today. changing feelings. its awesome. love it. forget muddy weak comment. also, did not hear loud unbalanced notes. its grown on me. fast. love it. too a little adjusting too. I think its very realistic sounding. in really good ways.
  12. have just begun to check it out. mostly the C7 (the main reason I bought it.) at first, brutally honest.......disappointed. now, its kind of growing on me. there is a lot here. a million things to tweak. other thoughts: (please understand I am no expert. I am an amateur that extremely loves to play. and ALL of this is MY opinion. ymmv, of course. different people like different things.) that said as my disclaimer. also, I have only played it a little. things can change with time. and tweaks. I love some things about it. as stupid, simple as it sounds, it took a little time, but I like some of the sounds. other ones, well, to my ear, there are flaws. some high notes are not balanced. they jump out too loud. I can see this getting fixed in an update. there are times when I think the mids are a little weak or a little muddy. ok, I'm not not used n playing much acoustic piano these days. so, with digitals, it can be alot different. some of the problems inherent in maintaining an acoustic piano, do not exist for a digital. ok, I'll end with a couple positive things. it is super fun. it sounds awesome, sometimes anyway. I am super glad I bought it. I highly recommend getting it.
  13. I bought it from Audio Deluxe. but a friend on another forum bought it from JRR. he's a repeat customer.....speaks highly of them.
  14. watched the first 12 minutes of the video on my Chromebook. (so, not a high end audiophile level speaker system.) that said, I utterly loved it. loved the C7. loved the LA Custom Rhodes. cannot wait to get it!!!
