Phnymiboy
2016 continues taking them away. Alan Vega from the infamous Suicide died last night in his sleep. He was 78. Saw them a few times and it was onstage insanity. Loved every minute of it. Met him a couple of times when my band back in the day played NYC. One of the nicest guys. We're all Frankies. http://bigfun3.bandcamp.com www.facebook.com/BigFunThree
GovernorSilver
I've spent a good part of the day (during breaks from practicing and wrestling w/ setting up the KMI Softstep 2 to control my Octatrack - turns out KMI shipped a bad USB cable!) listening to tracks by Suicide, Alan Vega, and PanSonic/Vega. Too bad I never got to see him live in any context - he must have been quite a presence onstage. RobP2
We played those first two Suicide albums over and over back in the day....Saw them at Camden Palace, London in the 80s, was an amazing gig. So much sound from two guys....the floor was actually shaking. So long Alan Vega..... Remember - you can make a record without an organ on it, but it won't be as good www.robpoyton.co.uk
