Sam Mullins
Interesting video snippet. But I have to say the story is the fluff that is the bane of the internet: "The 'Mini Oramics' machine is thought to have remained unfinished in Daphne Oram's own lifetime, but experts argue that its approach to composition and performance would have been influential." On the surface, that statement seems highly speculative. But to assess, it might be nice to know what "experts" were saying this and why they thought it would have been influential. It's kind of like saying if airplanes would have been invented in the 16th century, they would have been influential. 'Tom Richards, the researcher who finally constructed the Mini Oramics, told The World At One it helped answer the question "what if this had come to pass in 1973?"' And what was the answer?
