Winston Psmith
Seriously, they're not shipping to the U.S., AFAIK, so if you can find one, let me know. It's somehow both the silliest and the coolest thing I've seen in a pedal for quite a while. [video:youtube] "Monsters are real, and Ghosts are real too. Larryz
I liked the Looh setting the best in the demo @ 3:34. Not because it had the voice techniques going for it, but because it sounded like a flute...cool pedal Take care, Larryz
Caevan O’Shite
That does look/sound like a lotta fun! I think that you should DEFINITELY have one, Winston! I would IMMEDIATELY put it through my Octron and El Capistan. Then probably throw a little " '61 Harmonic Tremolo" on it courtesy of my Flint. I'd eventually find a way to have the Miku affect ONLY the echo-repeats of the El Capistan or some other delay. Hmmmmmnnn... doing that reverb might create some really interesting sounds and textures and soundscapes... Cool. Running the Miku through an "intelligent harmonizer" might be pretty cool, too. Winston Psmith
Yeah, Caevan, if you do a Google search on it, almost all of the links offering one are eBay links. I'm a little dubious about buying a pedal from overseas, via eBay, although it may come to that. FWIW, there are few links on Amazon, as well, but again, nothing in the U.S. or Canada. I found one distributor in Great Britain, so far, but I haven't checked into ordering one, yet . . . I'd try to run it in parallel with some of the Stereolab-style voice pads I've designed in my synths; let it take the 'lead vocal', against the 'background singers'. A couple of my keyboard synths also have Audio In jacks, mostly for Vocoding, although you can also use any Audio signal in place of one of the Oscillators, if you prefer. I can really see having the Vocaloid singing through a Vocoder. Hey, it's got to sound better than Li'l John . . . "Monsters are real, and Ghosts are real too. Conjure up some sound spirits and feedback demons with this new artwork. For those not in the know. The utter stutter is a timed feedback pedal that makes all of your other pedals sound like nothing you have ever heard before. Timed feedback blips, locust swarms, poly rhythmic delay feedback... an infinite path to highly adjustable and completely unique sounds. A tool for pure aural experimentation: No results Guaranteed Like Chk Chk Boom, Utter Stutter creates a timed feedback loop feeding your effects output to it's input. This is not a stand alone effect rather a modifier of your existing effects. What's new here is you can set the oscillation rate of feedback like a tremolo pedal. This opens a whole world of possibilities to time your aural modulation to what ever tempo your working with. In addition to a "coarse rate" knob that sweeps from less than 1Hz to a couple of hundred, I've also added a "fine rate" control to precisely time your feedback. DJs and other tempo matchers will love this laser like precision and on the fly tuning. But wait there's more! The oscillator's range goes much faster than most trem pedals. You can time the rates to get ring modulation like sounds. It all depends on what you pair it with. Remember: The Utter Stutter is a tool for experimentation. No results Guaranteed CONSTRUCTION True Bypass Lifetime Warranty Comes with a standard 2.1mm BOSS power connector. No sucky, easily breakable battery connections. Why? Read this. Use any negative ground 9v power supply (standard for most pedals). POWER SUPPLY NOT INCLUDED. But you can buy one if you like. 1x expression pedal input to control the rate 2x foot switches, latched and momentary 2x LEDs that flash alternately 3x knobs: intensity, coarse rate adjustment and fine rate adjustment 4x 1/4" jacks: in, send, return, out __________ [video:youtube] Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do? ~ Caevan James-Michael Miller-O'Shite ~ _ ___ _ Leprechaun, Esquire _ ___ _

There are a couple of Japanese sellers on Amazon that seem to be legit stores, rather than guys with storage units and P.O boxes. If I decide to order that way, I might ask if you know of any of them. "Monsters are real, and Ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win." Winston Psmith
I thought I'd go to the source, so I've written to Korg USA, to ask when, or if, they're going to release this in the U.S. - I pointed out that people are selling them on eBay over here, already, so Korg may as well go after those customers. If I hear anything I'll post it here, otherwise, I may be ordering one from Japan. "Monsters are real, and Ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win." Winston Psmith
@Danzilla - not at all, brother! My thought was that I'd rather wait and buy from a Korg dealer, so I'd get a factory warranty for the thing, and the iTunes support, so I figured, why not just ask Korg? Here's the reply I got, this AM - Thank you for your email. The Miku Stomp will be available in the United States, however we do not have an ETA at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you and best regards, Korg USA Customer Service If I can just go up the road to my FLMS, and get a new one, with the warranty, from my long-time gear guy, I'm willing to wait . . . Winston Psmith
Thanks, Skipclone, but I think I'm going to hold out until they release it in the U.S., since Korg gave me the word it's coming. That way, there's no issue with shipping, and I can plug into a U.S. iTunes account. I just hope they don't try to make it 'sing' in English for the U.S. version, but it seems that they're shipping to Great Britain, without any change, expect maybe to the power supply. Oh, man, I love the look of that music store site, but I'm very glad I gave up hallucinogens a long time ago, or that would have just blown all my circuits!
