The Worst Album Covers Ever

This one always disturbed me: Yes that's Billy Joel . . . Having used the actual Parkway Diner on Francis Lewis Blvd and Northern as one of my old band's after gig diners for many years still doesn't seem to make this photo any better in my mind. It's just a disgusting idea and I kind of like Billy's lyrics.

I love that album including the cover. Yes I'm serious. :)

Would you rather I had started a new one?

I'll continue it forward....

This one's long been a favorite album cover, though the back cover is where things really start to happen.

The only one I remember seeing in a retail outlet was the millie jackson and I was NOT inspired to check it out...

Then there's Devastatin Dave... Did he have much of a career?

Serious question, did Dave make much of a splash in his day? Zip Zap Rap is a silly song title, but I thought a lot of "rap" music was silly anyway.

I did Kinda like Tone Loc though.

Call me crazy, but I thought the Coltrane's Sound and Bud Powell Inner Fires covers were pretty darn cool. Shoot, I bought Coltrane's Sound on vinyl partly just to have an LP-sized version of that cover (and also to add a great album to my collection, of course). There's also a Sonny Stitt album called Stitt Plays Bird that's almost identical to the Coltrane one.

This one maybe isn't as bad as some of the covers that always make the lists, but it's pretty damn corny in its own way:

Not a bad album actually, but it looks like an ad for a shitty sci-fi movie.

The fact there's a Highway To Hell and only a Stairway To Heaven says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers

Roger Force.... no relation to our very own Steve...? :)
Maybe he changed his name after this album cover came out and was pulled.
