Joe Muscara
I bet someday, it will come out that a band like Kiss, Slipknot, Gwar et al did a gig and one of them was a stand-in, I have no doubt that it has happened. MuzikTeechur
Faux body parts (breasts, butts, and baby bumps?) - No big deal. Wait.. what? Is there some status in faking a pregnancy? I must be getting old. Back in my day we'd help 'em with the real thing - for free. Muzikteechur is Lonnie, in Kittery, Maine. Alchemist
Deadmau5's concerts consist of him pressing play on his computer and bobbing his head with the mouse costume. Pathetic.
Cygnus64
Deadmau5's "concerts" consist of him pressing play on his computer and bobbing his head with the mouse costume. Pathetic. Fixed that.
Bill H.
No Britney I would not "hold it against you" if you didn't do all the singing at your concerts I don't think any fans expect her to either. It's what it is: a spectacle. I would expect Adele to do all her singing though. Double standard? I don't think so. She's earned her reputation as a singer. Britney's done it as a performer. This may sound sick, but I actually want to see Gaga if she ever tours around here again (missed it last Feb). And I'm not going to hear her sing. Bridog6996
Deadmau5's concerts consist of him pressing play on his computer and bobbing his head with the mouse costume. Pathetic. Kinda apples and oranges, since he's a DJ. There's no deception. He doesn't feign being a musician. That's pretty much the whole point, whether it's playing records or playing tracks on a computer, you don't go see a DJ to "watch him perform" as you would anyone else. You go to party and dance to dance music. Unlike someone such as Britney, who's suppose to be a "singer." There's actually some deception going on there. Phred
This may sound sick, but I actually want to see Gaga if she ever tours around here again (missed it last Feb). And I'm not going to hear her sing. My wife is a lady gaga fan, so I saw her in Ottawa when she came here last. She made a point of stating that she doesn't lip sync. And I believe it. She had mic problems (her mic got boxy sounding, then started to break up). She adlibbed words, changed parts of the songs, talked during songs etc... And it wasn't perfect, you could hear it get affected by the dancing. I greatly preferred that to lipsyncing. NOTE: A _LOT_ of the vocals in the show were pre-recorded, don't get me wrong, but she never pretended to sing those parts. She just skipped 'em. I'm just saying', everyone that confuses correlation with causation eventually ends up dead.
