area51recording
does anyone make a small mixer, like a mackie 1202 size, with 2 sweepable mids? The ones I've seen have 3 band eq only. Thx!
johnchop
Not that I've ever seen. Consider the physical dimensions that would require (6 knobs for EQ instead of 3). Smallest (ha!) recent product I've seen that has it: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ATB08/ What are you trying to accomplish? -John I make software noises. johnchop
Soundcraft EFX8? Nope, not from what I see. I make software noises.
Kelly Gibson
How about the Mackie Onyx 820i reviewed in the January issue of Keyboard? It has sweep-able mids on channels 1&2.
AnotherScott
Consider the physical dimensions that would require (6 knobs for EQ instead of 3). It doesn't have to take up more room... it can be done with concentric knobs. Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
johnchop
OP was asking about two sweepable mids, no? @AnotherScott... ah, fair point. I make software noises.
area51recording
There are certain things, such as some DP's (my Yammie P90 in particular) that sound better to me with a couple of midrange slices, in the P90's case 300 ish and 500 ish, that a single midrange cut doesn't quite approximate. Looks like it's graphic eq time....
Mark Schmieder
Are you looking for two channels that have sweepable mids, or two sweepable mids per channel?
