What, you don't get a lot of ice-encased frozen lighthouses in the South California desert? Perish the thought, I live in the Arizona Desert. It is cheaper to live here. Every once in a while it gets below freezing here for a few hours after midnight, but it is always back up above 50 F or more in the heat of the day in winter. dbm If it sounds good, it is good !! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=143231&content=music

Boggs
That lighthouse is (or was) for sale. Seriously - why would anyone live in Cleveland? Cleveland is a great place to live! Here's some highlights: My wife and I decided last April to go somewhere we have never been to for our 22nd anniversary and due to our finances, we wanted to make it drivable. We decided to go to Cleveland in part on the recommendation of friends to go and see the RRHOF for ourselves. Well, we had a GREAT time! The people were great to us, the restaurants were first rate, places were easy to get to, we enjoyed many very good wineries... The hardest thing was deciding among so much what we were able to take in on a short time span! Cleveland, you did yourself proud! J. Dan
While St. Louis is no walk in the park in the winter, the week I spent in Minneapolis (right after the blizzard that collapsed the dome) last week completely sucked. One day I was talking to someone back home who said it was 8 deg in St. Louis, while it was -8 deg in Minneapolis. It's amazing how much of a difference 16 deg can make... especially when the wind chill was -21. I know, I know, you canadians out there are laughing at me right now, but as far as I'm concerned, once you get single digits and below, it's just too darn cold. Seasons are great, snow can be fun, Ice sucks. Dan Acoustic/Electric stringed instruments ranging from 4 to 230 strings, hammered, picked, fingered, slapped, and plucked. Analog and Digital Electronic instruments, reeds, and throat/mouth.
TuskBuffer
My mom just forwarded this to me in an email--how appropriate! It's winter in Ohio and the gentle breezes blow seventy miles an hour at thirty-five below. Oh, how I love Ohio when the snow's up to your butt. You take a breath of winter and your nose gets frozen shut. Yes, the weather here is wonderful. so I guess I'll hang around. I could never leave Ohio cuz I'm frozen to the ground! Terrell
I'm in Memphis this week. It's not so bad! But, I wore shorts in Dallas yesterday. So, I'm missing Texas. Atlanta next week... Who knows?
Caevan O’Shite
Man up, wear them shorts in Memphis, too! I went several YEARS straight, here in Upstate NY, where I wore shorts every day and never jeans/pants/etc, even walking down the hill into town to work in all kinds of weather. I considered getting a wool kilt...
