bluzeyone
Just a quick question. I m going with a midi controller/ module set up. What do u think of m audio gear? Im unfamiliar with it. Ive been looking at the model with 88 keys as I need the coverage. Just need some opinions before I make purchase. Thanks for your help and time. Sven Golly
You get what you pay for. For what it's worth (and this advice + $4 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks ), I wouldn't buy anything from M-Audio that had more than 40 keys on it. Sven Golly
why is that? They are junk? Your words, not mine. Let's just say they don't meet my quality standards.

davinwv
I've had good luck with most of their interfaces, but have heard nothing but bad things about their controllers.
MusicWorkz
Better question is, what kind of music do you play? Yamaha (Motif XS7, Motif 6, TX81Z), Korg (R3, Triton-R), Roland (XP-30, D-50, Juno 6, P-330). MonksDream
From my experience the action doesn't feel good and I've read numerous accounts of inconsistency in the velocity sensing and the MIDI values it sends out. I'd pass. Instrumentation is meaningless - a song either stands on its own merit, or it requires bells and whistles to cover its lack of adequacy, much less quality. - kanker
NewImprov
None of the 88-key M-Audio controllers I've played have been anything other than crap. I do gig with one, but that doesn't mean I like it. However, the Axiom series semi-weighted controllers have a really nice keyboard feel, in fact it's one of my favorites. I wish they'd make an 88 version. Turn up the speaker Hop, flop, squawk It's a keeper -Captain Beefheart, Ice Cream for Crow
