RP-X editor on Mac?

Recommended Posts

Just wondered if anyone had any luck running the GEM RP-X editor on a mac? If so - what software did you use?

Too much stuff, too little time, too few gigs, should spend more time practicing...!  🙄

main instruments: Nord Stage 3 compact, Yamaha CP88, Kurzweil PC4, Viscount KeyB Legend Live

GEM RP-X Editor doesn't exist for Mac.

There was a lot of discussion on this a couple of years ago... one reason I parted with my RPX.

I liked one sound on it: Grand Piano 2 (Steinway). The default Fazioli was too fleshy for my liking, and the other sounds were lackluster and some laughably unrealistic.

I do believe I could have done something with the Editor, though, to get the APs & EPs to where I like'em.... but there was no Mac software.

The ME-1 has a typical Kurzweil assortment of a few good-sounding APs which I think are pre-EQ'd versions of the same sample, some very good EPs, but IMO useless Clavs, (although I have an Electro, 'nuff said).

The ME-1 has 256 sounds, which made it a keeper... while the RP-X was redundant.
