Superboy
I forgot who mentioned this to me here, but many thanks! The Mackie Big Knob is an awesome thing to have for people who have a keyboard and a computer in the same room with one or more speakers. I know, I know, a mixer does essentially the same thing, and that's what I used to use. The thing with mixers is that it's not geared specifically for what the Big Knob does. All the buttons and functions are perfectly placed and function the way you need it to. I love that thing.

Markyboard
The Big Knob is cool. I considered it but ended up with a Coleman. I like my Coleman. It's the "tankiest" thing I ever owned. http://www.colemanaudio.com/prodimages/TB4large.jpg
BluesKeys
I had a chance to buy a used Mackie Onyx 8 channel mixer and a Big Knob for $450 but I couldn't come up with the cash. BP3
If you like the Big Knob, try taking it out of the signal path. You'll hear exactly how much color it adds. I'm not a fan. The Coleman is a better sounding device as it doesn't add anything to the sound.
Suppport Guy
Here is another option without the special "sound" of the big knob. http://www.heartechnologies.com/tb/talkback600MV.htm
Superboy
I have a question about the Big Knob, when I plug in my sources from the computer the volumes are great, more than enough. When I plug my keyboard L/R directly into the Big Knob, the volume seems to low. Why?
