Hi guys,

I hope to start a music technology course in September and i would like to start reading up on that subject.

Can anyone recommend a good read?

Studio recording techniques, acoustic treatment books, soundproofing etc.

Anything to do with studio recording and recording in general.

Any recomendations are welcome.

Thanks everyone!

Peace

Nik

Check out a book called "Behind the Glass"

It's basically a colletion of interviews from different producers. Even though it's from the producers perspective, they all pretty much get into engineering techniques as well.

There is also the "Yamaha Sound Reinforcement", Craig Anderton's "Home Recording for Musicians", "The Mixing Handbook" just to name a few.

Most music stores (Guitar Center) and big-box book stores (Borders, Barnes & Noble) carry related titles. Good luck and happy reading.
