King Kamehameha
My mum has horses. I have a pony. Well, I used to, when my aunt lived here, she kept it in her barn and now she moved so the pony moved too. Gifthorse
Racoons are cool. My friend's Mom worked for the DNR, she would raise baby racoons that were orhpaned. Anyways, they are extremely frisky. They have little hands. They are smart and affectionate but they are frisky as I said. Love to play and bite your hand (not too hard but kind of annoying) They are also not soft at all. Their fur is brisly and rough. Is that your racoon or just a pic in your yard? http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse

Ricochet
That's a wild 'coon, but she's on my deck or in the yard every night. She's picking up dry cat food I tossed to her. We do that to keep her off the deck, but she'll come right up and eat it out of the cats' dishes if we don't toss it first. She's semi-tame. Doesn't bother the cats. Tedster
That's hilarious!!! Dang vagrants. If you're camping...you could be sitting at a campfire...and the raccoons would be raiding your picnic table not 10 feet away. mdrs
Watch them racoons....they can be pretty nasty. The have sharp claws, and are preditors.....I've caught them killing the chickens in my barn more than once.....they rip their heads off!! Hungry lads.......and they are, after all, masked Banditos!! If a domesticated critter, like your dog or cat, were to confront a Racoon, well, guess who wins??? Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Dr. Ellwood
I've got a little bandit that climbs up on the roof of my office here and watches me through the skylights!! If I don't pay attention to him he taps on the window!! I'll see if I can get a shot of him doing that. http://www.thestringnetwork.com

I am on the eleventh floor of my apartment building. That's around 110 feet in the air. Every year, a pair of starlings comes and nests behind our flower box (the one that was torn out this year). One year, the nest was full, six baby starlings. After several days went by, I heard the mother making a racket. I ran out on the balcony to see a racoon had scaled 110 feet of brick wall to crawl into the nest and eat the babies. Afterwards. She took up residence in the nest herself and had racoon babies there. All of this, 110 feet in the air... S. Yeti Bigfoot, Esq.
Raccoons can be very dangerous animals....it is not wise to try to get "up-close and personal" with a wild raccoon. They are also well-known as frequent rabies carriers. "And so I definitely, when I have a daughter, I have a lot of good advice for her." ~Paris Hilton BWAAAHAAAHAAHAAA!!! mdrs
there is only one way to know.....we'd have to cut his head off, and send his brain for lab analysis..... mdrs
Sas, We only HAVE to send your brain to the lab if you become unusually friendly, and start foaming at the mouth. Ricochet
While I was off at the Marcia Ball concert in a neighboring city tonight, the 'coon brought her three babies to our deck.
