  1. Another nice review. I like Jeff style:
  2. As all Matt Johnson videos, AWESOME! (at least for beginners like me! 😅)
  3. The question is... would it include the license for all desktop instruments on that price?. Because if you don't have them, that is a good value to take into account. Not in my case as I have V Collection 9, Pigments and some other Arturia things...
  4. Some fond memories of that time for me... Go ABBA!!!
  5. I am glad I made the move to Gig Performer 4, so I am free to select the interface I want for my instruments
  6. Yes, exactly my thoughts!. What a pity, so much space available. And a round display is. IMO, a no-no. I only like it on watches and my old Amazon Echo 😁
  7. It is here! Official video: Some reviews:
  8. Thanks for your nice comments. That is one of my home setups, the one I use to practice piano when not using my Yamaha U3H, and also to do some Cubase work or test my MONTAGE/MODX patches. Yes, my first gig was on July 2022. But don't be fooled by the gear, I am a lots worse player than it may allow. But, well, there are some advances 😉 About the radio station, it is quite the opposite, gear wise. My best rig is an FTdx-5000, which is also nice, but in fact that keyboard setup reduced in half my radio station. The music hobby has displaced the radio one. As I am all day fixing radios as my main job, it is also a way to disconnect from that. 73 Jose EB5AGV
  9. So on Windows is different than on Mac, as it shows that extra information which is not here. All in all, it seems exactly the same version, so you are good to go 👍🏻
  10. Yes, that is, look beside the smallest "i" for what I wrote (nativeaccess2)
  11. Sorry, this is not true, I goofed... I have just checked and my NA 2 was shown in white background because the selected theme. I thought it was NA 1 due to that. The definitive answer is to check by selecting Help and then About Native Access. There you can see the name of the application as nativeaccess2 in the window which opens
  12. New controllers are overdue, so I guess that could be the announcement. But probably more than just new hardware... We will know soon!
  13. Beware, the numbering is misleading. NA 1 last version is 3.9.1 (1.16.0.0). if the background is white, you are on NA 1. If it is black, NA 2
  14. We will have a sound/setup check a day or two before, as there are also other instruments, as a cello, involved. I don't know yet what else will be there. The fiance of my niece is a good cello player, as is his brother, who will play. I will carry an amplifier and most probably will set it up. So, finally, the "minimalist setup" won't be so, but well, I will do my best so they have a good one. I have some experience from my band gigs and I hope they help, even if the venue is so different 😅
  15. Last week my niece asked me if I could lend her a digital piano for her wedding ceremony at the church (I will attend, but she said didn't wanted to bother me with the playing) So I found myself into a problem. I wanted to help... But none of my keyboards were suitable. I have plenty of synths, controllers, workstations and such, but no 88 key weighted slab, with sounds and speakers on it. I could setup the Studiologic SL-88 Studio along a laptop or iPad and an amplifier. But I preferred a simpler and more elegant all-in-one setup. So I looked for used gear and, on the opposite side of Spain, I found a good candidate. I bought it and it has arrived today. In the picture it is setup with Korg Module, just to check how it works, as it has USB audio and MIDI. I love that setup, using AUM as a host. Pretty flexible and super-easy to setup! All in all, here you have it, a humble Korg B2, as new, and at less than 60% its new price, ready for its task (the wedding is on 13th April): I think it will do its intended job nicely. And well, after that I will have another tool on my playing arsenal 😉 Jose PS: I hope the B2 speakers are enough for the intended use, as the church is not too big. I will have an amplifier ready for it, just in case it is needed
  16. They keep launching videos, one for each song of The Dark Side of the Moon album: And some previous ones: And still some more to come!
  17. Mr. Blue Sky - ELO (sorry if already suggested)
  18. If that is a B-205D, I can say mine saved me on a pop/rock gig in an small venue when my amplifier died at about 30% of the gig time. It is an small but surprisingly powerful monitor. YMMV
  19. Some time ago I found that my beloved VPC1 showed some slight marks on the exact same spots as you show, right in the middle (horizontally) of some keys, and I attributed that to the repetitive use of the keys. I also keep my nails very short, but sometimes they touch the keys, so that was the reason to suggest it was the cause in yours. I don't see any other possibilities except wear due to playing. Perhaps there is something special in your skin that increases it. Some time ago I had a colleague at work who had a seemingly acid sweat on his hands. Everything metallic he usually touched, got some kind of oxidizing on it Here you have some pictures of my VPC1. I have struggled to get the marks spotted, as they need some lighting across them in order to show. In this case is not noticeable to the touch, just the finish texture of the keys is slightly damaged, it seems. But as you can see, the location of the marks is very similar to yours on first two pictures. The third is on another part of the keys which also show some marks. I am not sure when this happened, because I bought the keyboard used in 2020, and it is a 2016 unit. Former owner was a professional piano player and used it as a silent practice keyboard (his wife had some health problems and didn't stand the piano sound), so he probably used it quite a lot more than I do, but I had not noticed it until some months ago. It is not easy to spot on my current location because, as you can see on last picture, it is lighted in a way that makes it difficult to spot. Hope this helps! Jose
  20. I am getting into NI Maschine world, as a companion to my keyboards. I had already a Maschine MK3 (black), then got a bargain priced MK3 25th Anniversary edition, in ultraviolet color (quite nice looking!) and, finally, for my portable rig, a Maschine Mikro MK3. This last, even if looking basically unused, had a problem in one of the pads, which generated sometimes only the NOTE ON command but not the NOTE OFF one. So I opened it and carefully cleaned the pads contacts. For the PCB side, which are metallic contacts, I used a cloth with some zero residue contact cleaner. For the plastic based sheet with the printed carbon contacts, I used only a clean cloth. The result is a perfectly working Maschine Mikro MK3 🤩 Here you have some pictures of the process. All black screws should be removed: Carefully remove that small ribbon cable: HINT: a desksaver is great to support the unit and keep the rubber buttons in place: This is what makes the magic of the ultra-sensitive PADs! Notice there are two pin inline connectors which should match when assembling (I show just one): And this is a hint: NI thought that 2017-2022 would be the years to produce the Mikro MK3... Of course, COVID probably changed their mind!
