  1. For those that have to travel and/or don"t like controls to the left of the keyboard, why not look at the RD-88? It weighs less and is not as wide as the A-88MKII: RD-88 50-9/16 (W) x 10-3/16 (D) x 6-5/16 (H) inches 13.5 kg / 29 lbs 13 oz Key Action PHA-4 Standard Keyboard: with Escapement and Ivory Feel Zones 3 A-88 MKII 56-5/16 (W) inches x 10-13/16 (D) inches x 4-11/16 (H) inches 16.3 kg / 35 lbs. 15 oz. Surprised this one hasn"t appeared yet -
  3. I'm on Mojave with no issues but not in a rush to update my studio iMac until several more revs and clear indications for all my plugins.
  4. If the Fantom 8 is in play, I can assure you that the the PH50 keyboard far surpasses the Kronos 88...I had a Kronos 88 sold it for a RD-2000 with a bunch of software synths and love the RD keyboard action and midi capabilities. If I were to consider a move back to a workstation, the Fantom 8 would be the only board on the list. I don"t play live anymore, so the confines of a home studio makes it easier to make these choices. Slà inte Mhath
  5. Yes, the RD-2000 OS has settings for generic and vendor usb audio. One is correctly set to vendor. I think my issues started when Logic auto updated to 10.4.5 Ive since restored to Logic 10.4.4 and rolled back Logic prefs. Still having audio output completing disappearing. I might have to set aside 3+ hours and try a clean install of Mac OS to get things functioning again...
  6. Thanks but that forum is on life support... I solved other issues related to the Logic update to 10.4.5 which included the RD sliders changing volume settings across all MIDI channels event though the sliders are assigned to separate channels. I rolled back to Logic 10.4.4, deleting the Logic general prefs, control surface prefs and any/all files related to the Korg nanoKontrol Studio. Audio dropping when using the RD as the audio output in Logic and Mainstage even while MIDI continues to transmit over the sales USB cable remains an issue.
  7. I'm only one using and RD-2000 and Logic?
  8. Is anyone else having problem with their Roland RD-2000 and Logic Pro X or MainStage? When using the RD-2000 as the audio output device in Logic Pro X or MainStage the audio cuts off and stops playing consistently even while midi data continues to be transmitted. After this happening dozens fo times, I switched the audio output in Logic from the RD-2000 to the built in output of my iMac. No more audio drops. This is less than optimally. I bought an RD-2000 as a great digital piano/midi controller and the fact that it had a built in audio interface. Not being to set soft synth volume levels from the RD-2000 sucks. It seems, either audio interface on my RD-2000 is broken or the software needs to be updated. RD-2000 system software 1.5 (0051) 2015 iMac running Mac OS 10.14.5 Logic Pro X 10.4.4 MainStage 3.4.2 Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  11. Great video. Nice to be able to see and hear the content with excellent audio and video quality. Many of the Keyboard Mag videos suffer from horrendous production that make them barely usable.
  12. Buy it from Sweetwater with 3 payments instead of paying all at once.
