  1. Yeah, it is a great song, I just never need to hear it again, and something had to go in the Hate slot. Lol. Come to think of it, I could probably put The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks in that slot, too. That would be an instance where I hate the song.
  2. I've done a bunch of these, and I can't remember if I tackled Eagles yet. Lol Eagles Love: Those Shoes Like: King Of Hollywood Hate: Hotel California. Never need to hear it again.
  3. A very underrated album for sure. I think they had to follow up the monster that was Toto IV, but there was also the challenge of replacing Bobby Kimball. Unfortunately, the album bombed. Too bad, too, because it really is a great album.
  4. Journey Love: Winds Of March Like: Mother Father Hate: Don't Stop Believin' (way too overplayed for me.) Phil Collins Love: I Don't Care Anymore Like: Take Me Home Hate: You'll Be In My Heart
  5. Same here. I'm not seeing or hearing anything here that I wouldn't be able to do with a virtual string machine (Arturia Solina V, or the myriad of free Korg emulations from Full Bucket.
  6. Maybe the Nautilus is getting a little brother, with nothing but a power switch, volume slider, and a really small touchscreen.
  7. James Taylor: Love: Only A Dream In Rio Like: Shed A Little Light Hate: This is a tough one, as I don't really hate anything, there's just stuff I like less. I'll probably go with Handy Man.
  8. Genesis (Phil Collins era) Love: Turn It On Again (On a more broader scale, I love the whole Duke album.) Like: Domino Hate: I Can't Dance
  9. Peter Gabriel Love: Signal To Noise Like: Intruder Hate: Sledgehammer was already taken, so I'll probably go with Steam. Wouldn't say I hate it, I just don't really like it.
  10. A couple more: Foreigner Love: Starrider Like: Juke Box Hero Hate: I Don't Want To Live Without You Chicago: Love: Ballet For A Girl In Buchanan Like: Feelin' Stronger Every Day Hate: The remake of 25 Or 6 To 4, from the Chicago 18 album
  11. I'm really digging the new stuff Peter Gabriel's been releasing as of late...
  12. Just checked that album out, and it's right up my alley. I've always had a thing for "smooth jazz". It's great when it's done right. I was also a little inspired by some of Pat Metheny's lighter stuff for that tune, mainly "James", to the point where I used a pretty familiar sound for those Lyle Mays fans out there.
  13. Traded my MS-20 Mini for a PC88MX. I found myself not using the MS20 as much as I probably anticipated back when I bought it. Besides, if I ever needed that sound, I have three different VSTi clones.
  14. If only there were a DP that had the same action as my RD-1000. Since having carpal tunnel 5 years ago, my hands haven't been the same, and every DP I've had my hands on has been miserable and hard to play.
  15. Got an OnStage KS7292 2-tier stand a little over a week ago. Yes, it's an X-stand, so sue me! Feels solid, quick setup, 2nd tier has height and depth adjustment. Only thing I hate about it is the main supports are a bit short, at 14" in length. Other than that, it feels nice and solid. Haven't tried anything really heavy on it yet, such as my 01/W Pro-X, but time will tell.
  16. I've still got a disk drive in my VFX-SD. Can't load the sequencer OS via SysEX (Can't find it anywhere) so I'll need to source an original disk.
  17. I could've picked All For Leyna for the "Love" option, but it completely slipped my mind. So many great deep tracks in his catalog. Elton John Love it: We All Fall In Love Sometimes/Curtains (One of those situations where you can't have one without the other.) Like it: Madman Across The Water Hate it: This may be a controversial choice, but I gotta go with Rocket Man. I've had to play it as a solo spot in way too many bars that when I left that band, I vowed I would never need to hear it again.
  18. Billy Joel Love it: Scenes From An Italian Restaurant Like it: New York State Of Mind Hate it: River Of Dreams
  19. Back when I worked at a local music store, we got that V-Stand right after it came out--and one of the adjustment pins snapped on it, even with a Triton LE88. We looked at each other and said we'd never order another one.
  20. Most stuff from ADJ and Chauvet can be set to a pattern/audio mode and left alone. If budget is a concern, there are some wash lights, like a multicolor LED bar that sell for under $200. Maybe start with a couple of those, then add some effects later on.
  21. I'm very picky about action. My normal DP is an old RD-1000. I'll be holding onto it until the day I die, or the RD dies, whichever comes first. I've yet to play a DP with an action that even comes close to the RD. Everything I've played was either too heavy (P515), too stiff (Korg RH3), or both (CP300). Sure, changing the velocity curve might help, but for me, not so much.
