  1. Hey Dick! If you can get your hands on any of the Keyboard Corner Compilation CD's you will hear just how good some of these cats are.. For instance, (strangely enough)I am right now listening to Volume 9 (just happens to be track 18, Dave Bryce's "Syzygy".) Awesome stuff. Regards. -steve (West Bloomfield..)
  2. As I have posted here I should introduce myself.. Steve here--49 yrs old and have been playing musical instruments since 1964 (ish..) Although primarily a bassist--have played bass since 1968(ish)-- I have had synths since the early 1990s, and am quite proficient with MIDI and digital recording. Professional computer type (25 years now), married, 3 kids, 2 granddaughters. BS and MBA degrees. LOVE playing music and now have the time to do it.. Currently have an Ensoniq TS-10 synth, an Ensoniq ASR-10 rack sampler/synth (both purchased new in the early-mid 1990's), and just recently purchased a Yamaha Motif-Rack ES. Am eyeing a Yamaha P-200 digital piano that a buddy of mine will be selling (he rents gear to touring musicians and this will be available in a couple of weeks), and am considering some other gear. Life is good. Thanks for letting me hang here--you guys are awesome! Regards.
  3. Great tip! Capture your emotion and passion on tape--you will be glad you did!
  4. Some observations from someone who has been there (resigned/been fired, etc): -Be very circumspect--don't burn any bridges. -IMMEDIATELY apply for unemployment. Don't wait. -Take a skills inventory, and perform a personal Strength/weakness analysis. -Determine what kink of work you want to do, will do, and don't want to do. -Focus on the first and then start marketing youself. -Let everybody know you are in the market--be shameless and confident. -Keep up your daily "work" routine--get up at the same time and start" "working" --your job is finding a new job. -Don't get depresssed. -Don't get discouraged. -Use your anger/emotions positively. -Hang in there--it happens to everybody sooner or later! HTH.
