CEB
Because of extreme temperatures in trailers and trucks the adhesives fail. We get high heat in the summer and it gets colder than hell. My rack has no room for a shelf. I"ve had enough. This stuff ain"t going anywhere now. Will have to drill out these big ass rivets to remove the Vent. I hope it don"t fail. Damn I probably just jinxed it. Quote "It doesn't have to be difficult to be cool" - Mitch Towne "A great musician can bring tears to your eyes!!! CEB
FWIW ... the rear lid.... I liked Thoroughbred Music. They used to custom cut cases for me under their Armadillo name. They were like the first Sweetwater. Not sure what came of them. I think Sam Ash May have bought them. mate stubb
Bought my first clone (original analog Korg CX-3) from Thoroughbred. I still have a sticker on my toolbox. Quote Moe ---
elif
I remember the store on, what was was it? Nebraska? Equipment stacked to the ceiling and barely enough room for one person to slip between the stacks.
Joe Muscara
I had a automatic garage door closer Velcroed to the door. When the door was open after a timer the sensor would sense that it was still open (laying flat instead of vertical) and close the door by sending a remote signal. That door is metal, faces west. In Houston. One summer afternoon, I'm in the living room and keep hearing a weird sound at indeterminate intervals. Turns out, the sensor fell off the door and was triggering the door every two minutes or whatever I had the timer set for since the sensor was laying flat on the floor. Since all it does is send the "dumb" signal to the opener, it was opening and closing the door every couple of minutes. You KNOW that sensor is now screwed to the door, with flat bolts that can't be easily messed with from the outside. Quote "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! EscapeRocks
I"m in Texas so I understand the extreme heat and extreme cold. I"ve been using 3M Industrial High Temp hook and loop fasteners in my rack and other uses. Haven"t had one"s adhesive cone off yet. One tip I learned from a mechanic friend: on our plastic cases, take some light grit sandpaper and scuff up the area where you will attach the 'Velcro' Quote David Gig Rig:Depends on the day
Doerfler
I liked Thoroughbred Music. I thought they were a solid organization myself. Hope thing work out for you, Ed.
