hurricane hugo
[font:Verdana]Until someone went and invented it: [video:youtube] [font:Verdana]Maybe it's because I'm not that good on keys (guitarist who's still trying to get better on the boards), but this lil' baby's got my head spinning. I can see how I could immediately put this to use. Anyway, if some new piece of gear takes you by surprise and makes you say WHOA, let us all know! Quote http://blip.fm/invite/WorkRelease
GovernorSilver
Makes me think of the long-defunct Zyklus - Vangelis reportedly had one: http://www.muzines.co.uk/articles/zyklus-midi-performance-system/3478 Despite the failure of the Zyklus and the rise of the software DAW, people keep trying to make a hardware MIDI looper This one has 4 tracks, but seems to have a more extensive overall feature set than the EPPZ https://www.future-artist.com/ I'm sure Bastl will do fine because they know how to reach their target market. GovernorSilver
Preview demo recorded by Cuckoo a few months ago. Warning: Even though he has actual keyboard skills he is known for video game tones, even with analog synths and this no exception. Skip this video if you hate that video game sound. Nathanael_I
I am very much looking forward to the arrival of the Osmose I have on order. It seems to be the most expressive keyboard synthesizer ever made. It seems to be sensitive to the kind of small touches that the Continuum senses, but it still gives normal piano key spacing in a way even the Seaboard does not. GovernorSilver
Might be fun to pair the Osmose with the Bastl MidiLooper

Al Coda
Well ... "Bast(e)ln" in german means tinkering,- and "Bastl" is the bajuvarian term for "Basteln". To me, that says it all ... The result will be "Bastl-Music" ... Something I don´t want to achieve at all. I cannot remember I every needed a looper at all and I cannot imagine I´ll need one in future. Osmose seems to be a innovative keyboard though ... A.C.
GovernorSilver
haha, glad you guys have deep pockets! I ordered my Osmose when I still had a job and it was on preorder discount down to about $1000. After I finally do get my next job, my next gear purchase might actually have to be another car, depending on what the commute will look like. GovernorSilver
Not offended at all, miden. When my pockets do get deep, I'll probably get some vintage poly thing (Jupiter 8, Korg Trident, whatever) for aging hipster cred, whatever $6000 high end tube preamp for keys/mic that Dave thinks is cool, SSL mixer, etc.
