I'm going to have them put in my amp next week, to see how they sound compared to my reissues. Then I may consider an extension cab, to house whichever speakers I consider to be second best. Tea. I have an amp that's about 10 watts, and it has an 8" inch alnico jensen from the early 60's. It sounds incredible. Couldn't be happier. 2 x 12AX7C (Chinese, warm sound) 2 x EL84S 4-Rating Mmmm... Nice. My repair shop agreed with Myles 100%. They were both right. Also, maybe try out a few good compressor pedals- especially any that have a high amount of variable boost- used to hit the input hard for slammin', burnin' overdrive, or to get beautiful squeezed sparkly shimmery clean tones poppin' right outta the speaker atcha.
