Billster
FunkJazz, Where do you find the smoking pope bunny and the butler bunny avatars. They're a total crack-up. Also, where can I find a simple explanation of how to post a custom avatar? Thanks in advance for any help. Buy my CD on CD Baby! Bill Hartzell - the website MySpace?!?! Funk Jazz
hmm, the smoking bunny is an endangered species, and very hard to find google "Kozik" ... the bunny artist. or go browse www.posterpop.com, or www.stickergiant.com for a tone of ideas. when you see a small jpeg or gif you want to use as an avatar, right click on it, select properties ... then you'll see a URL for the graphic. copy that web address. go back to musicplayer forum, cloink "my profile" towards the top of the page, then "view/update profile". then "select different avatar image". then paste the graphic's address into the "use custom url" box. click "set url". you should see your new avatar at the top left. cloink "select this avatar." ta-da, bunnies for everyone ! You could open the image in your photo editor of choice, just trim the edges of the picture (width only, no need to make it smaller in height, IMO) and save the image. BlueStrat a.k.a. I've got most everything I'd need except the uniform (or lack there of in the case of the rebs). BlueStrat a.k.a. Tedster
Yeah, they do some pretty cool reenactments. There are a couple of groups around here. The area I live in was known for Quantrill's Raiders (not really nice guys no matter which side of the battle you were on, so I hear) and the Battle of Lexington. There's still a cannonball in the old courthouse there (well, it fell out once, but they put it back. Gotta please the tourists). It would be neat, but I really don't have the time to do it. Blue Strat
Quantrill's raiders were a black mark against the confederate cause, that's for sure. They killed 150 men in Lawrence, Kansas. Didn't matter if they were soldiers or were even fighting back. I'm reading a book now about the Civil War in the west, and I'm in a chapter on Kansas now. The Union troops weren't especially nice to the native americans during the war. There were lots of cases where unsavory officers and politicians used the war as an oppertunity to expand the Union's territory by slaughtering the indians, often by allowing them to surrender and then executing them.
