Hi Myles..
I have a mesa nomad 100 head and i'm having a problem with the reverb.I'll plug in the foot switch turn on the reverb works fine
then after a few minutes it stops working.Sometimes it does this without using the foot switch.I don't think its in the switch itself.Could it be in the tank or is there a tube for the reverb.
I play just on the clean channel with no switch. This amp has three reverb knobs on the back.I have the amp set on the back for the first channel,no footswitch.
Thanks
Leonard
Myles i have a Marshall tsl-100 head and a Marshall 4x12 cab,the cab is marked 16 ohm
and on the back of the head you have 4,8,16
ohm inputs,plus a a switch for 4 and 8 ohm.
Question is whats the right way to hook this up?
Thanks dumblava
Lava ....
Not normal at all. Probably a microphonic tube.
I see your avatar is somebody that probably knows Jill (my avatar). Another "hot guitarist magazine" girl. Would this be a preamp tube causing this?
also I'm looking a some GT6L6GE-5 for the vibrolux
do you think this would be a good choice.
Myles I'm looking to buy a speaker for my vibrolux,it has the jensen p-10 but can't find out how many watts it is.Is it 15 or 25? The P10R is 25 watts and full info is here: http://www.jensenvintage.com/p10r.html
Myles I have a reissue Vibrolux that when the reverb is on there is a big time tube rattle going on,is this a loose tube bad tube or is this normal for this amp?Sure is anoying
Myles I did make that trade for that vibrolux what would be a good power tube replacement? I'm looking for a little more volume less breakup if there is such a thing.
Hi Myles I was wondering if you could suggest a
good set of power tubes for my Boogie dc-5
It has 6L6's but of course you knew that.
I put two sovtek tubes, but I don't care for those,
too harsh,and cold sounding.Thank you
Hi myles I have a mesa DC5 that seems to go in to boost mode by it self could it be just the knob
or do you think I have big problems?I just bought
the amp so I still have time to take it back.
