James-Italy
My wife is very supportive of my singing. She's always pushing me to sing whenever there's the opportunity. She even likes most of my originals, even knows a few by heart so she's not all cold. But as far as my guitar playing goes.... well, let's just say the only feedback I usually get are comments like, "Can't you turn that down!", "Are you trying to play (fill in the blank)? Well, the original sure sounds much better than you." "Geez, even though you're wearing headphones I'm still getting a headache" But today, while I was jamming to a blues CD she came into the den and said- "That's not you playing is it? I mean it's really good." I had a shit eatin' grin and told her (with lots of pride)- "Yeah it's me." She couldn't let it lie at that and replied, "Well, at least all those lessons are paying off." I'll take it, though. First compliment ever on my guitar playing when I wasn't singing along, from my second harshest critic. (The first of course is me.) It's finally starting to click all this lead stuff. YEAH MAN! My Gear My Attempts at Music
