I need advice concerning DeArmond M72

Imagine

Recommended Posts

I saw a DeArmond M-72 listed for $799.99 and on sale for $219.00

The information given is:

Model M-72

Model Number 035-7200

Body Chambered Mahogany with Maple Top

Neck Mahogany

Tuning Machines Die Cast Chome

Scale 24 3/4"

Pickups Two Gold Tone HB

Controls Two Volume, Two Tone

Colors 521, 537, 538, 539

Is this a good guitar or should I spend my money on a more expensive one?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Play the guitar. Does it talk to you? If so, take it home. I believe the model is DeArmond's answer to a Guild Bluesbird, isn't it? DeArmond is to Guild what Epiphone is to Gibson kinda. Regardless of what some people say, I'd play one if it felt good and sounded good.

Thanks for the info Tedster. With the information I provided above, is it a well built guitar and are the pick-ups decent?

I don't know much about guitars, (I'm a keyboardist, but I do play guitar) and the sales people at the store aren't any good at knowing anything at all.

It does sound pretty good though...

Thanks

AHA! You've hit upon your own answer..."I'm a keyboardist and don't know much about guitars"...

Okay...I'm a guitar player and don't know much about keyboards. But, If I were going to buy one, I'd take a keyboard player along with me. Someone who could explain the pros and cons...play the thing, see if it something they'd be happy with.

Take your guitar player to the store with you. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif That oughta work...
