  1. Thank you for the info and funnies. 😁 I appreciate it.
  2. Here's a screenshot. Is it a piano felt strip? Thanks
  3. Hey guys, Would you say the KOMPLETE KONTROL S88 has a good keybed? Not looking for a heavy keybed. From what I understand they're using a Fatar TP/100LR. Is it lighter than the Montage 8? Thanks!
  4. I'm just seeing the last 2 replies. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.
  5. Thanks Max, I was hoping for that. I love the Montage 8, but I'm looking for something a little lighter for fast key parts.
  6. Anyone know if the keybed on the Nord Stage 3 is lighter than the one on a Montage 8? Thanks!
  7. Thanks. Is the TP40M lighter than the TP40 G/H?
  8. Regarding these two keybeds, which is likely the better keybed? Also, does the Nord Stage 3 88 have a Fatar TP40 G/H keybed? Thanks!
  9. Has anyone played on a Doepfer LMK2+ 88 Master keyboard midi controller w/o case? How do you like the keybed? Thanks!
  10. Thanks Elmer. At one time, I had a Yamaha S90. I loved the keybed. I could play anything on that keyboard, but after having it for many years, it stopped playing altogether. After researching, the only keybed close to the S90 is the Montage 8. Is the keybed on the Nord Stage 3 88 lighter than the Montage keybed?
  11. Hey guys, I currently play on a Yamaha Montage 8 keyboard. I love it. Does anyone know if the Nord Stage 3 (88 key) key-bed is heavier, lighter or similar to the Montage 8? Thanks!
  12. Thanks, the Output is a great price, but as noted the Montage 8 will not fit. This desk is more expensive, but the Montage will fit except the front will stick out about an inch. They can custom fix that. https://www.unterlass.info/EN/products/key-88/
  13. Hey guys, I'm looking for a work-station that will hold a Montage 88, and that you can slide in and out from the bottom. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  14. I found the Remote section by fluke. I think BadMister was using an older firmware in his post. Just glad I can do this. One of the reasons for getting the Montage was to use the sliders to send CC#. I'm not at the keyboard at the moment, but if I save the Performance, will the CC# changes be saved as well? Thanks!
  15. David, Great news. I can use the Montage sliders to send CC# to Kontakt, in this case for the Spitfire library. On the Montage, go to Remote and press the Plugin button on the display. To change the CC for each slider, click on the Edit button on the right corner of the display. ð Now I need to know how to save this in the Montage so that I don't have to do this every time I turn the keyboard on.
  16. Guys, I think I got it. There's a lot of info on this page about what I was trying to do. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/yamaha-montage-daw-setup-and-recording/ In the Setting up your DAW section, I turned off the 5 KbdCtrl channels. That fixed both the loudness I was hear during playback and the multiple midi notes. Is there a way to save this setting so that I don't have to turn off the 5 KbdCtrl every time I turn the Montage On? Thanks!
  17. Also, if I'm using Pro Tools, do I need to install this? https://www.steinberg.net/en/support/downloads_hardware/yamaha_steinberg_usb_driver.html
  18. Hi Mark, I just got the Montage, so I'm not very familiar with it. What do you mean by "may be getting double-monitoring of the input pair and the main output pair", and how do I change this? Thanks
  19. Hi David, how do I change this so that only one part is sending data? Thanks
  20. mate stubb, I don't quite understand. The Montage is connected via USB. If you're referring to something completely different, could you please elaborate? The Local is Off. Thanks!
  21. Would that be coming off the Montage? I've looked at all my settings and everything seems correct. I've never had this issue before so I'm not familiar with it.
  22. I don't know. I never looked into that. What exactly would that do?
