I might have to explain this topic over on one of those "producer" forums - they don't get out much. But you guys are pros at this, right?

Mmmmm...women...

I'm not particular about supermodel looking women. They wouldn't have anything to do with me, anyway. I like good conversation...that's an aphrodesiac for me. And despite the probability that I might come across as an extrovert here, I'm quite shy around women, and a woman almost has to flat out seduce me to get me to take the hint, otherwise I'm thinking "She likes me, but not like THAT".

But, of course, I'm a married guy, so this is all hypothetical.

Oh, and BTW...why do you ask???

I don't like how the feathers stick to your tongue.

Oh....

"Chicks"...

Funny, I never seem to use that word, sort of like a modern day version of "broad": "hey, look at dat hot broad ovah der". Strikes me as being too Fonzi-ish. Heaaaayyyyyyyyy!!!!

They must be breathing. Not immediately repulsed by my visage. Not immediately turned off to an outsized vocabulary.

You know, the funny thing is - music really is a significant thing. I used to think it was the only thing, then I was talked out of that mindset, went 180 degrees away from that.... but it's bothersome, doesn't work. It turns into a bigger deal than it *should* be, but it is. Something about root fundamental experiences: the music you like tends to reflect your life.

If music isn't a big part of her life, then that works better: but then THAT is a big vast canyon of non-understanding. That's a recipe for the line "when are you planning on quitting music.....?". Then,,

I'll stop there....

Ah, come ON, Lee! We already KNEW that! You can't leave us hanging like this. There must be SOMETHING that distinguishes the drummers that you REALLY like. Ringo. Watts. Moon. Peart. Bozzio. Compare and contrast. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif

WELL, it is true - he can't be just any old drummer. He has to be a really GREAT drummer. I've always felt that the way a guy plays drums is a good clue to how he will perform in, ummm, other respects.

Peart for example: way too metronomic, doesn't relax into the groove at all, and is all over the place. No dice.

Bozzio: Yeah, the dude can play, and he can be pretty tasteful. He'd still have to work a little to win me over though, considering there are so many other fish in the sea, see below!

Watts: suave, the king of understatement and groove, solid but with just enough eccentricity to keep him interesting. I'd be all over him like a cheap suit.

Zigabu Modeliste: now THAT dude is GREASY! I'll bet he could go all night long.

Keith Moon: sure, he's all over the place, but in an endearingly sloppy way, and he still managed to have a great sense of groove. I'd do him. Not for a long term relationship, but once or twice. Well, y'know, if he wasn't dead and all - I'm not a necro or anything. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ringo: a really fun date - solid but a goofball too, and never boring. Always does the right thing to fit the occasion, but throws in a few nice surprises too, and a girl's gotta love that!

John Bonham: now there's a real man. Maybe too much of one. Probably better admired from afar, as it's unclear whether I'd survive an actual close encounter.

Stewart Copeland: flash AND finesse, AND can groove for days. I'm in love!

Stan Lynch: solid as a rock and full of raw energy, yet poised, under control and in possession of perfect dynamics. I'm DOUBLE in love!

The drummer in my band: can do any and all of the above. Ummm, I better quit now and take a cold shower... http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'm sooooooo glad I'm in my 40's!

Light.Dark.Muave.....

Big.Small.Midway...

Sharp.Dull.Suave.........

If life had dealt me my younger years in the 90's....I'd be way gone.

I'm afraid I was one of those guys who thought the meaning of existance was measured by time in Fogelbergs Dancing Shoes.

Long Sigh,... I quess my taste in chicks is pretty well refined now. The one I have will do just fine. Long Black waist length hair, 5 feet nuthing, dark brown mediteranean hide, black eyes(Pupils Ted), a hundred and nuthin, and mean as a snake!

hehehehe, I am soooo glad she's computer illiterate!

Lee...uhhhmmmm, interesting post...I'd bet a lot of us are beginning to wish we were a single drummer. YIKES...

Lessee...as far as gorgeous ladies that everyone knows...Trisha Yearwood. Bonnie Raitt (so, she's not real young anymore. Neither am I). Actresses...Susan Sarandon (pretty eyes)...Meryl Streep...Bernadette Peters...Janet Jackson. Oh, and yep...Alanis. She reminds me of an old girlfriend. And Gloria Estefan. She reminds me of someone I had a crush on in high school.

I like the type of women that would punch you in the mouth for calling them "chicks".

My wife is a wolf in sheep's clothing... she is very feminine, classy, smart (she's working on her PhD), beautiful (fair-skinned, long silky hair, GREAT body!), and always well dressed... but if you give her any trouble she'll knock your teeth out.

Pretty Japanese women were always very attractive to me and I ended up marrying one. She is now the mother of my two sons who are both very handsome young fellows. My wife is not the typical passive Japanese type though, very spirited and doesn't take none of my shit. I think this was one of the reasons I married her. She would be pretty surprised if I called her a chick.

YUCK!!!

YUCK!! Is right!

When I hit puberty I started praying that I wouldn't get huge boobs because I didn't want them getting in the way of my guitar playing (OR rock climbing, which I was also doing a lot of at the time). Thankfully, my prayers were answered!
