Bridog6996
Bill Evans is considered a "late bloomer" by most, but he was a major player in jazz while still in his twenties (released his first album at 27, joined Miles Davis at 29). 35+? I don't know. Can't think of any, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. My YouTube Channel
moj
Al Jarreau would be one, I guess. He didn't get a record contract until 1975, then recorded his critically acclaimed album - *We Got By*. Which lead to his "greatness" in the entertainment field. He was 35 years old. However, prior to 1975 he was a working musician for a few years, playing clubs and opening for a few well-known acts. Also, I think he recorded a locally released recording and worked with George Duke's Trio. George Winston recorded his first Windham Hill recording - *Autumn* in 1980 when he was 30. This recording brought alot of attention to him and the label and "spawned" the acoustic/ instrumental folk "New Age" genre in the 80's.
kad
The great jazz guitarist Tal Farlow didn't even pick up the guitar until the age of 22. Reality is like the sun - you can block it out for a time but it ain't goin' away...
