daBowsa
Hi. I think I'd like to give Reason a spin, but I don't want to spend tons of cash. I think I'd like to buy a used copy of 2.5, but there are tons of sketchy looking auctions on eBay. What am I supposed to look for? How do I know I'm getting something legit? Thanks, -Ben. zeronyne
Shoot them (props) an email. Someone who upgraded to 3 and is selling their 2.5 is NOT giving you a legit copy. "For instance" is not proof.
daBowsa
So, I have to know the actuall license number I'd be buying before I email propellorheads, then?
RABid
Have you tried downloading the damo at Propellerheads. Propellerheads will process license transferrs but you have to be careful because they will not support a license fo 2.5 that has already been upgraded. Robert This post edited for speling. kanker.
Hey daBowsa - How much were you wanting to spend on 2.5? A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable.
daBowsa
Well $40 would be great, but it seems like everyone is selling them as a cheap way to get 3.0. So $400-150=$250, so buying 2.5 for anything less than $250 is a deal. But I don't really care about 3.0 - I just want to give Reason a spin, and 2.5 seemed more than enough for a bunch of people a year ago, so I'm sure it'd be fine for me. I'm afraid to try the demo, because then I'll want to buy 3.0 and 2.5 will feel like a step backwards.
Ben One
Ben, Is there anyone in your immediate family who could buy Reason 3.0 at an educational discount? It's $199 that way. Ben Eddie Jobson Tribute Projects
