Chuck Levin - RIP

Recommended Posts

Chuck Levin, founder of Washington Music Center, died of cancer last week. He was a major player in the MI world. His sons Alan and Robert have run WMC and WPS (the broadcast and pro audio counterpart to WMC) for many years now. He will be missed. I remember doing a seminar there...great vibe, cool people, good store. Maybe Chuck's gone, but I think he made pretty good use of the time he had here. More power to him, and best wishes to his family.

Growing up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Chuck Levin's was like "gear Mecca" to me and my musician buddies. We would make our semi-annual pilgrimages over the bridge to Chuck's and it was always a fun trip. I bought SO much stuff there over the years. Strangely, once I moved closer, the frequency of my visits dropped off. RIP Chuck; thanks for the memories...
None more black.
