I'll be there contributing to Keyboard mag's coverage, and would love to do a dinner hang. Hallowe'en in San Francisco!

Wonder who's playing at Biscuits and Blues (great club on Mason and Geary) throughout... ? I caught Brian Auger there last time I was up north, and the food is great too. A dinner / live music hang would be a cool idea.

geez, you just got back!

Seriously, I've never met a more brow-beaten bunch of guys than musicians. They can't even practice without spoiling somebody else's plans. Or, maybe that's just the good-looking musicians? Beats me. I give up. ;)

I don't think I'll make the show, but I'd like to have dinner with you guys. I'll have to blow off rehearsal to do it, but I figure you guys are worth it.

I love the Biscuits & Blues idea. That work for anyone else? The band that night is Lavay Smith & her Red-Hot Skillet Lickers. Never heard of them, but you gotta admit it's a cool name. ;)

I was going to suggest the Boom Boom Room, which has a very nice house B3. But the band doesn't look to be organ-oriented that night, so I figure huffing over to the Fillmore District to watch it gather dust is maybe not so cool.

I used to keep it velcroed to the top of my monitor at Sony. Now I think of it as my "SSS PP Troll."

I've seen that band before when I used to live in SF. They're excellent. :thu:

I'm game for that unless someone else has a better idea. Their web site says they handle the private parties, and their menu looks pretty interesting (and yes, there are veggie dishes, Geoff). I've already emailed them about availability.

7 PM okay for y'all, or is that too tight? They take dinner reservations up 'til 7:30...

I agree. That's what made the NAMM dinner so cool.

Besides. believe me, it will be loud enough with everyone there talking.

Good call, Val.

Yeah, yeah...

Have a look at their web site, which I linked to above - the band thing is a separate part of the evening. It appears as if they start well after dinner is over if you get there before 7:30, and costs extra if you want to stay to see the band.

However, if you guys wanna do a different place, I have no problem with that. Maybe The Stinking Rose ?

There will be a lot of folks with garlic breath afterwards though... ;)

Best,

Hey, I'm in for the company, not the food -- so whatever. But that place will be with us for a week if we go... :P
