synthetic
What is your audio interface? Keep in mind that if you have a Firewire audio interface that a Firewire HD will eat up a lot of bandwidth. Although on a PowerBook you may not have much choice.

Geosync
In testing and supporting mLAN, I have seen many variables when it comes to FireWire hard drives. The Glyph GT 050 has been outstanding. I think it's worth the extra money. Take Care, George Hamilton Yamaha US

Ed A.
I'd recommend a Micronet Platinum Firewire/USB2 120GB drive.
