midispaceho
This is your chance to vote me out. I, as I mentioned in one of the other OT bitch threads, tend to only reply to off topic threads and start the odd OT thread. I am an electronica hobbiest. I am not a pro, nor do I indend to be. I cannot offer any tech advice as I can barely get my Yamaha synth to play nice with my Roland sequencer. Since one of my threads was mentioned specifically, here is your chance to vote me off the island. I will abide by the vote. Vote me out and I am gone. Vote me in and I will stay. Wewus432
Oh man, don't be silly. You get to stay, just because your name is so cool. midispaceho, although I would change it just a little bit to midispacecho. Instead of being a ho you'd have an echo. So, that's the only requirement for you to stay, you have to change your name. :D You don't have to be a pro to come up with interesting topics. Music IS the universal language. Super 8
Fuck it! You go, and I'm going with ya! I think the pinhead who voted you to leave should be the one getting 'voted' on, -I wonder who it was... I voted for you to stay, and I hope you will! For one thing, anybody who posts a cubist painting as 'Their picture' is allright in MY book! Honestly, I doubt that there is nothing I could learn from you -regardless of what you said in your post. But, if you're still learning some of the basics of your instrument -that's fine- maybe I can answer some of YOUR questions and help you on your musical journey. Regarding the Off-Topic Post guilt trip that seems to be targeted at folks like Wewus, or you (I don't recall the thread, but you said that one of yours was listed), I can tell you that this WHOLE thing wreaks of hypocrisy. Yes, Wewus -who I really like alot- has posted a lot of nonsense threads (He knows that! Wewus obviously is a guy who tries not to take himself too seriously -I like that!), but the stuff he has posted PALES in comparison to some of the CRAP I've read by the 'veterans' on this forum! And do you think that the 'Good ol boy' network holds THOSE people accountable??? HA! At least Wewus isn't mean-spirited. At least he can laugh at himself. At least he feels a sense of loyalty to this forum, and makes an effort to support it. I hope you stay MIDI -regardless of your poll. And if Wewus was wondering if he's warn out his welcome -I hope he stays too... GT40sc
Funny, I always mis-read it as "MIND-SPACE-ECHO"... Brakka
I always knew he was a ho. Nice Picasso, Super 8! My favorite cubist is Braque. He sort of influenced my name. Braque did a lot of musical instrument paintings & collages. soapbox
midispaceho, in case you missed my answer in the thread in which you originally posted this question, here it is again. As I wrote at the top of page one:
Originally posted by soapbox: Personally, I see a need for both an SSS forum and an Open Mic forum; but as I read increasingly angry and frustrated posts, I question whether these forums should remain combined into one venue. My intent is to try to find a solution to the anger I see here, rather than to cause more. Let's see if we can find a constructive solution to this dilemma.
I hope that this clears up any misunderstanding. Again, I've only had positive interactions with you online. I hope you stay. Bunny Knutson
Hey Midispaceho, I think the vote speaks for it self. Don't go nowhere, 'K? ~~~ Hey Brakka! I didn't know your name was partially inspired by Georges Braque. That's cool. I'm a fan of Pablo Picasso. As you know, Braque and Picasso directly influenced each other's painting styles during their heavy cubist phases. Have you ever seen this Braque painting, entitled "Cubist Fisher Price #1"? ;) https://bunny.bandcamp.com/ https://theystolemycrayon.bandcamp.com/
Brakka
Friggin' hilarious, bunny! I saw that yours was the most recent post, then as the page was loading, I looked at the status bar and saw "fisher price cubist" loading and knew exactly what it was :D :D You've had some good photoshop moments here. :) I'm into that stuff too, but I don't have web space since apple started charging. I tried to find a secret hidden image index on your site to browse some of your pics, but no luck. Care to PM me a link for my own amusement? Felix_dup1
midispacecho, IMO the fact that you took the time to post this poll and the opening post that went with it says alot about why you should continue to be a part of this forum. midispaceho
The people have spoken!!! :D I have been out of town for a while and the busy at work, so have been unable to check this thread. Thanks for all the nice things said. For the record, the painting that I used as an avatar for a while was actually a Roy Lichtenstein making it pop art. Must say I do love cubism and surealism - perhaps my favorite form of visual expression. Changed it as I found it difficult to appreciat it in such a small format. Seriously though, I will try to limit my stupid OT posts. I will continue to respond to those posts that I have something to say about...which certainly will not include compressors, pre amps and the like. I do tend to read the technical stuff though...always trying to learn and grow. Heeeeeere kitty kitty kitty
