I am gonna HAVE to get a laptop...

Yo, y'all -

Wel, here's me taking off for another trade show later this morning, and here's me still not owning a laptop, so I guess I'm not gonna be able to cyber-hang until I get back on Sunday night.

I'm bummin'...maybe my wife will take pity on me and buy me an iBook for my birthday next month...

Anyway, I'm off to Germany for the Musik Messe. I'll check out the Neuron some more and the new Creamware toy, and anything else that seems like fun.

Lessee...maybe I should leave someone in charge while I'm gone - but who? Hmmmmm....

Dan South?

steadyb?

Maybe one of the "Band of Steves" (Jordan/LeBlanc/Buckman/Fortner etc.)...

Ahhhh, I've got it.

Okay, I officially nominate soapbox as Honorary Forum Moderator while I'm gone. Whaddaya say, Geoff???

Hey, I didn't necessarily say that I was looking for a safe choice, did I? ;)

You know me - I'm pretty much always in it for the entertainment value...

...although, given that, perhaps steadyb would be a better selection. That'd be some fun, wouldn't it? Just think - an All-Lakers keyboard forum...

Topic: What type of keyboard does the guy who plays for the Lakers at the Staples Center use?

Topic: Lakers players who own synths - what brands do they prefer?

Topic: Bands that wear Lakers jerseys when they play live

By the way, does anyone have a transcription of "C-H-A-R-G-E-! ! !" for French Horn???

...or "Who Let the Dogs Out" for Theatre Organ??? :D

steadyb

one more thing, Soapbox likes the Lakers too, so as long as it's not Dan  , it's fine with me.

BTW Dan, did you catch the Lakers/Nets game last week??? (By "game" I mean the way the Lakers "played" with New Jersey...the way a cat "plays" with a mouse) :P

Wow! Thanks Dave, and the rest of you, for the vote of confidence! I'm honored!

I've got a kind of busy week coming up, but I should be able to drop in once or twice a day to see if there are any hens left. :D

Have fun at the Messe Dave!

Enthusiasm powers the world.

then there's the cyber-cafes- big in Europe, especially northern.

i'm not saying you need to check up on anyone, but

we need to know about new gear as soon as possible!

Danke.

By "home court advantage", do you mean because we were playing in the Western Hemisphere??? We would have beat the Nets in China too. :D

Nah Soap, I was just responding to Dave's earlier post in his possible decision to elect Steadyb in an alternate reality....

I saw that you were chosen which was great. Steady would have been a good choice too, but Im afraid if he was choosen my computer would freeze everytime I tried to get in the forum. **wink wink** **nudge nudge**

Dave:

Things will function here fine (I hope). Think of the trip as an opportunity to get some decent German food and beer and log in if you get the chance, we will survive.

WE??????????

What exactly is YOUR job description with the Lakerz organization? I KNOW that you're workin' for free, 'cause they pay those players more than California spends on electricity.

(With about the same results...Fftzz...Fftzz...)

Wow, I can't believe I missed this one...

No actually, after the basketball lesson Kobe gave Jordan in February, Mike decided to stick to selling underwear.

Actually, there's this one restaurant in Frankfurt called "Gallo Nero" that's unbelievable....Italian food, though.. ;)

When I asked my guys if they had any decent meals at the Messe, they replied, "Oh yeah...some great Indian food, as well as Italian and Chinese."
