What's going on over at Triton Central?

How about you dan? Do they represent the majority? Are most Triton owners pissed off at Korg and spewing venom out of every orifice? Is Korg the worst support company as far as keyboards go? Step up to the mic and give us your opinion folks... Has your support from Korg been non-existent? I don't care what your opinion is, and you're not going to get an argument from me, whatever it is. What's been your experience?

...well hey, at least my topic is "on topic" instead of what's your favorite toilet paper? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif

I dunno how much value this will have, but I've never needed to call them... it's never broken...

Korg support? Oddly enough, Ive gotten through to them 3 times already. But, I had to search on the internet for their phone number, which didnt take too long. Its a Long Island, NY area code (516), and I forgot where I put it.

So, about support; theyre not that bad. I called three times to ask a question about my newly acquired KARMA back in April. I was on hold for like 10-15 minutes total going between 2 people and that included the "hold while an operator is availible to assist you." My questions dealt with some sequencer and karma module questions. The guy (got the same guy all three times) took me through the steps as, I'm assuming, he had a karma in front of him, and I was happy. I didnt really read the manual fully (who would? Especially a KORG?), as I was in a hurry to get songs done as quickly as possible.

So, Im pretty satisfied with KORG phone support. 8 out of 10.

It's Charmin and yes I like to squeeze it.

... We're only 25 posts away as of this thread sooooooooo....

I think Triton and Korg owners are a bunch of weenies who have severe insecurities and need a big long silvery or red keyboard to cover it up.

Hey! My yamaha cs6x is long and silvery too. Don't include us all in this category.

BTW, lame attempt to start a flame war. You're not getting one of Dave's Andromedas... At best, maybe a qcard http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Yes, sir. I have two.

I have a blue Andy, and I also have Andromeda #1, which is red. With white knobs.

It is the one that I demoed when we premiered Andy at Winter NAMM 2000. You don't even want to know the folks who've touched it...it's quite a list of who's who.

Suffice it to say that the red one doesn't get played much...

My Tritons are rock solid and easy to use. They're by far the best keyboards/modules I've ever owned. I've never needed to contact support, and I don't foresee a need to in the future.

I don't even know what Triton Central is. It is a forum? I hang out here on Dave's forum. Dave is a genius and can answer all of my questions, and sometimes he lets his gorgeous goddess friend whisper sexy nothings in my ear. Why would I go anywhere else?

Dansouth, triton central is a great forum for Triton users. This is a great forum too, but for Triton-specific stuff I'd check it out. There's a Korg rep (Jerry) who frequents the forum to let us know what's going on and to get user feedback for improvements.

Cool! I'll check it out. I'm sure it's a great source of info. My point was that the Tritons are so solid that I've never needed any help with them. What exactly was the issue that prompted this thread, by the way?

Oh, and what is the URL?

Not the goddess I had in mind, Dave, but I'm glad that you and 'B' share such a touching mutual respect.
