Guest Posted August 13, 2001 Share Posted August 13, 2001 Yes you can. You will lose your modem on your G4, but the Gport got rid of all my MTP AV USB problems. Also, I use an obsolete editor for the VL-1 which won't work unless it sees a good old fashion serial port. The gport is the only thing that worked for me. I usually only record a track or two of MIDI at a time, then play back a track or two and record it to audio. That's how I build my tracks. My point is I'm not doing heavy duty 16-channel+ MIDI.
