sykodrummer
OK I have this problem. I have a home studio, and I always have problems what to get next. Before I added my mackie 32x8 I was so sceptical why anybody would add a mixer? I thought what a waste of money. But now that I took a risk and bought it I wonder how I could have existed without it. Thus I only know I need something after having it. Now I have some money to wipe my butt with, and thus wanted to know what is next on my list? What would you buy next if you had what I have? I'm into Metal ( the heaviest metal possible, the more, nastiest darkest distortion the better), techno, house rave or what ever you might call electronic music. Please be realistic, what would you REALLY, ACTUALLY buy next? I have : mackie 32x8 mixer Kursweil K2500 with all the bells and twinkels MOTU 1224 G4 500 (mac, duh) Running Digital performer. mackie Monitors HR824 Ensoniq ASR-88 Yamaha DS-11 ( digital drum set) and the usual , electric guitars , Tama drumset Some standard Mics ( sure 57) and some 1500,- worth on sample CD's ( don't be impressed, they are only a few cd's, these suckers are expensive) And as always thanks for reading. dansouth
How about a Pod or a SansAmp? You can use it on guitar, bass, voice, whatever to add edge to your sound. The MasterLink is awesome. Talk about not knowing how you lived without it...
Steve LeBlanc
Do you do vocals? If so invest in a mid-line Vocal mic...The Rode mics (NT2 or NTK tube) are excellent. http://www.youtube.com/notesleb
