Currently in my car:

1. Seal (second album)

2. Peter Gabriel (second live album)

3. Vertical Horizon (slightly cheesey, but some really catchy songs on there)

4. Hooters - One Way Home (the best of the 80's that no one's ever heard)

5. Nine Days (the Story of A Girl song, also slightly cheesey)

6. A home-made CD of songs my band is trying to learn

I know, I need something more keyboard-oriented, or I don't get to post to this forum anymore... I'll break out the ELP and Bruce Hornsby next week!

Oh boy!!! A list!!! Being a Leo, how can I resist putting in my $0.02...

10 of the CD's that enjoy a rather constant rotation in my player are...

1. Steely Dan: "Two Against Nature." It should have been called "Two Against Medoicrity" because Fagen and Becker have released the first true pop masterpiece (musically, sonically, and lyrically) of the new millenium.

2. Thomas Dolby: "The Flat Earth." A must-play when entertaining female company.

3. Tangerine Dream: "Pergamon" A live concert from the Palais der Republik, GDR. Gets played if "The Flat Earth" causes things to go well.

4. Larry Goldings: "Whatever it Takes." Elegant, understated Hammond playing from Maceo Parker's youthful keysman.

5. Stevie Wonder: "Song Review" An essential compilation of a lot of his best.

6. D'Angelo: "Voodoo" If #2 and #3 fail, this will succeed. Oh my God.

7. Macy Gray: "On How Life Is" I can add nothing further to the deserved praise that's been heaped on this artist.

8. Me'Shell Ndege'ocello: "Peace Beyond Passion" If we all have a masculine and a feminine side, then Me'Shell is the female incarnation of Curtis Mayfield.

9. Frank Zappa: "One Size Fits All" Check out "Inca Roads" to hear George Duke out-prog Yes and early Genesis, never losing Zappa's underlying wackiness.

10. Kate Bush "Hounds of Love": A gothic movie for your ears, courtesy of the reason there's anyone like Fiona MacAmos.

1. Transatlantic/SMPTe (Radiant)

2. Spock´s Beard V (Radiant)

3. Encores, Legends and Paradox (a tribute to ELP by Magna Carta) - excellent!

4. Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes (east west)

5. Tribute for the Masses (various artists tribute to depeche mode)

6. Dream Theater: Scenes From a Memory (hats off to Jordan Rudess in the keyboard dept.)

Being a proghead, the old guys (ELP, Yes, Rush, etc) always round in my CD changer. However, this is some of the newer stuff I can't get enough of.

Also check out: Mike Oldfield´s "Millennium Bells".
