aeon
The direction this thread has taken has clearly shown me that a new thread that dicussed how and why we use certain tools (synths, fx, plugs) for given tasks in creating various styles of electronica might be a good idea. For example, Curve clearly loves his TribeR for its immediacy and sound tools. We both love a warm, lush stringpad, and I know the JD-990 is a luxury ride to that destination. The Sherman has been cited as a good tool for drumbreak fills, and while I do not own one, a friend does, and I know it is indeed wicked-good for this task. In a collective genre that exploits silicon to the utmost, such a discussion could be good for all of us, sparking ideas and bringing us all to a better place. I love to program, and I know some fun tricks. What yalls think? Go tell someone you love that you love them.
