DrummerCafe
Not that I've seen or heard. I think the big thing is don't hold your breath when you play. Breathe with the phrases of the music or with what you are playing. Singing the drum grooves/beats seems to be a good practice method. You will naturally feel when you must breathe when you syllablize what you are playing ... before you play it. djarrett
Hey, Stranger: There are truths regarding breathing techniques and playing. This can affect tempo and timing, ... as well as, feel. I read about this (but cannot remember where). There are yoga breathing exercises that can help with this. I did a clinic tour once with Terry Bozzio and know that he utilizes some breathing techniques in his performances. I will dig around my archives and see if I can discover more for you. Thanks, DJ
