_Sweet Willie_
On a whim I visited Richard Bona's website this evening: Bonatology . I immediately was greeted by the cover of his new album: Tiki. I am a rather avid fan and I will be picking up or ordering this CD ASAP, as well as keeping my ear to the ground for any NYC-area shows in 2006 (he's in Europe thru the rest of 2005 it seems). This man quite simply makes beautiful music and plays some serious bass (not to mention guitar, percussion, and more). Peace. --s-uu spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.

Mark Zeger
SUU- If you hear far in advance about a Bona NYC date, let me know and I'll schedule a trip around it. That set at the Jazz Standard still buzzes around my head. And you forgot to mention his voice.

abc
In Stockholm there were a brazilian guy on the guitar, sorry don't remember his name. Wasn't that "visible" in the beginning, but made a smoking solo towards the end of the show.
