EddiePlaysBass
I was digging through the forum and found this thread and which was quite an interesting read. So I figured that maybe we can all exchange setlist? My band is just getting started, so we don't have a fixed list yet. But here's what we have so far (in no particular order): - Free: All Right Now - Black Sabbath: Paranoid - Deep Purple: Black Night - Deep Purple: Strange Kind Of Woman - Neil Young: Rocking In The Free World - The Who: Behind Blue Eyes - Uriah Heep: Stealin - Steppenwolf: Born To Be Wild - Status Quo: Claudie - Status Quo: Wild Side of Life Some stuff we plan on doing (or that I want to propose to the band ) includes - Asia: Heat Of The Moment - Guns 'n' Roses: 14 Years - The Beatles: Come Together - Free: The Hunter - Free: Wishing Well - The Scorpions: The Zoo - The Scorpions: New Generation - Judas Priest: Hell Bent For Leather - Iron Maiden: Lord Of The Flies - Saxon: Play It Loud - Nirvana: Come As You Are - Nick Lowe: Cruel To Be Kind And some typical stuff like "Sweet Home Alabama" and so on The idea is to get a bunch of well- or lesser-known cover songs, and in time throw in some originals as well. Anyone want to play? "I'm a work in progress." Micky Barnes The Ross Brown Shirt World Tour

coyote
Sat. nite's set: Jethro Tull - Cross-Eyed Mary Rush - Tom Sawyer Yes - South Side of the Sky Deep Purple - Hush Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick Deep Purple - Highway Star Pink Floyd - Have A Cigar King Crimson - Dinosaur I've noticed that, with a few exceptions, PinkFloyd has a tendency to send people in search of other stuff to do. The crowd was having a wild time until we did 'Cigar'.... midway through that tune, they started drifting away. Unless I'm doing an all-Floyd set, I'll likely not include much of their stuff from now on. Which is a drag, cuz we love playing it. I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football. All of the above are in fairly regular rotation, and we're adding more all the time. BenLoy
The only band I play in that does tons of covers never has a setlist. When I joined the band, the drummer said "Learn lots of Bob Marley, Springsteen, and John Cougar Mellencamp and you'll be fine." He was right. The ones I didn't know I faked my way through.
