I went Sunday with my wife and daughter. Will try to post pics when I can get them out of the camera.

As to whether it's worth it - it's hard to say. It was interesting, and the people were definitely part of the show. Not that they were strange or anything - it was lots of folks of all ages walking around the park looking around and taking pictures.

We walked around for about an hour or so. Then we got something to eat and headed home. It's about 1.5 hours each way (took the train because I have a monthly and didn't want to try to find parking).

Since it's a longer ride for you, I can't say...

OK - try these pictures. If I can get my daughter's pics, you'll be impressed. I'm not much of a photographer...

Tom, I can't believe I didn't bump into you then! I was there later in the afternoon, around 3:30 I guess.

Here\'s a bunch of pics I took on one of my LiveJournals. I'll post the full set later on my Yahoo! Photos page.

EDIT, 1:13 am: I now have some selected photos up . Had to work on them a bit, as some were quite dark.

Tom/Taz..

I was also there.. sorry I missed you..we could have had a mini LD meet...

I enjoyed it and will be returning this weekend..if the weather is OK....

Its one of those things that you just need to go see .... it makes no sense but its quite a display ...7500 gates stretching 23 miles through the park... the Sheep Meadow and Great Lawn are surrounded by the gates... the park was crowded but it was easy to get around...and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves...

Here are a few pix....

I'm in NYC for business on 2/24. My office is on 56th & 6th so I'll try to take a few minutes to see the Central Park South side of the installation. Unfortunately, I won't have time for more that a quick look.

I wish I was flying into LaGuardia so I could have the cab drive through the park from the north side on the way to my office. That would be a great way to see The Gates in little time.
