bassplayer7770
I don't own one yet, but ever since I played the one described in my sig below it's been on my mind. The playability was just amazing. The best I've ever felt (although the Surine I played was sweet as well!). The sound was also great with the Bart Soapbars and 3-band EQ. Wow! Now I just need to start working my way toward getting it... alexclaber
I find it a bit weird that they tilt the pickups towards the bridge on the high strings (though I guess a certain Leo did that with some old bass too). Moon basses do that (but only with the neck pickup too) so I'm guessing helps the slap sound by adding more ping to the pops and thump to the slaps. Pivoting pickups would be interesting, so you could tilt them one way for fingerstyle and the other way for slapping... Wally Malone
Saw a bass at NAMM that had a pickup that moved in a kind of reverse smile from bridge to neck position, don't recall the maker. Where do you put your thumb? Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make!
