We just released 3 banks of Hydrasynth patches with 128-patches per bank. 384 patches in total.

 

The Scoop

 

The Analoguesque Bread and Butter I and II banks contain classic presets that are useful in every music genre. Everything from analog resonant sweeps to FM, dark and unstable “modular” leads, thumping basses, eerie pads, to some classics from the 80’s, like the lead from Daft Punk’s “Da Funk”, Duran Duran’s “Save a Prayer”, or Depeche Mode’s “Just Can’t Get Enough” or “Nodisco”. One of the jewels is patch # 1: The Fairlight ARR1 preset. This sound is coveted by many, including myself, but is notoriously difficult to replicate on anything but a sampler. The Fairlight ARR1 (or SARRAR as it is also known) is used in many classic 80’s tracks by The Cars, Tears for Fears, Yazoo, Duran Duran, The Art of Noise, and many more. Remember the DX "Solid Bass" or "Lately Bass"? How about the classic "DX Epiano"?  They are here.  [i]Bread and Butter I and II[/i] are a good mix of genres with plenty of bass sounds to keep you busy, and even some great “analog” drum and percussion for good measure. Don’t forget to play with the macro knobs though, because most of the sounds can be subtly or drastically changed with the twist of a macro knob, including the drums.

 

The Analoguesque Esoteric I bank is a little more “out there”, with many atmospheric and large-sounding presets. A ton of these presets can easily fill gaps in any composition and although there are some standard synth sounds, most are centered on pads and leads, with some basses and FX.

There are many choices that showcase the wide-ranging talent of the Hydrasynth. A lot of sonic ground is covered in these banks, so you will definitely find presets you love.  The macro knobs expand the sonic palette even further, with some introducing subtle changes, while others create completely new sounds.
