I did think maybe the eye doctor was pushing them and getting a kickback. Who knows.... It crossed my mind that the surgeon preferred that I go big rather than minimal. He may not have voiced words but I felt it somehow when the option was covered in his initial overview. I would have to listen to a recording and even then it might have only been in his vibe and felt in the moment while in one another's presence. Ultimately I had another health issue arise so I delayed the cataract surgery process which consequently placed me at the bottom of a waiting list. By the time my name came up my ticket in was to be ready, willing and able to make the last minute arrangements. He almost made the decision for me and walked me to the path of least resistance. Pitching for the most profitable option was not in his best interest when he might end up with a vacant operating table spanning two cataract procedures. It wasn't blatantly clear however the thought crossed my mind for some reason. I would not suspect anything unless something triggered it but that might only have been a reluctance to bring it up which he developed after seeing how previous patients had reacted to the higher price. Or he truly sees the expensive option as the better option. Overall I liked the surgeon and was happy getting him for this procedure.
