After publishing this article, I discovered the firmware upgrade is for all Pentax K-1 cameras, both Mark 1 and Mark 2. There are two pages for firmware upgrades, and one of them only stated “Mark 2”, which was confusing. We will hopefully be updating this article, but until then, I wanted you to be aware of this. And yes, I installed the firmware successfully in my K-1 Mk 1!
