vonnor
Back in '87 or '88 I bought a Memorymoog+, Matrix6, DX7 and a couple other things from this huge music retailer around the north side of Detroit, MI (US) or maybe Ann Arbor? I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the name but I vividly remember the store layout. It was like a giant warehouse in a flat-top business park and the keyboard section was a separate huge room on the right but in the back part of the store. Almost sure it was not a chain but kind of a one-off mom & pop store. Anybody shed light on this? ~ vonnor Quote Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage3, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. vonnor
Looks like Wonderland had a brick front. This was definitely a steel-frame warehouse-type building. vonnor
Funny thing I kept the receipt for that buy for years and years, but finally cleared it out. Dropped $8800 that day on gear. ~ vonnor Quote Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage3, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. vonnor
Some college buddys from Ann Arbor and Toledo turned me on to the place. Not even in business any more. jerrythek
I know/knew that place. I was on the road in early 1976 with a B3 and they sold me the 2-piece wooden dolly that everyone used to move organs around with. I also remember they had an RMI Keyboard Computer there, which was an amazing thing to discover back in those days.
