Bernard 'Nard' Wright RIP

Keyboardist Bernard Wright has passed away.

 

Nard is most famously known for his session work with Tom Browne "Funkin for Jamaica" and his own solo record which yielded "Who Do You Love" back in the 1980s.


 

Nard was from NY but he relocated to TX where he was still gigging and tearing it up on keys.

 

His records were mined heavily for samples. Thanks for the music. RIP Mr. Wright.😎

I primarily knew him as Marcus Miller’s keyboardist, but I found out about his solo work a few years ago through some of the samples @ProfD mentioned. Funky dude, RIP
