Docbop
Jazz guitar amps and speaker cabs use Eminence Beta series PA speakers because they are clean and don't breakup like regular guitar amp speaker do.Thanks Dr Bop. Those Eminence speakers may not breakup, but there will be significant rolloff at the treble end, I assume? You would need to add a tweeter to them to make a full-range speaker. Cheers, Mike. Most the Jazz cab's I have, have an adjustable tweeter so I can control how loud it is or turn it off. They are alway ported to help with the bass response. For interest's sake â which cabinets with adjustable tweeters are the ones you prefer? I've used a lots of different types of gear over years on bass and guitar. My Epifani bass cab's had adjustable tweeter. I remember a guitar cab too with adjustable tweeter but that might of been a custom made cab I no longer have. My Raezers Edge speaker cabinets ER models have tweeter, I think was adjustable. Then my amp I been using since I retired is a small Henriksen, the tweeter can be turned off. Henriksen says the tone stack the presence knob 7.3hz acts like a tweeter level control. My favorite Jazz gigable setup was a Acoustic Image head with a Raezers Edge 1x10" or 2x8" cabinet.
