RoadHousePiano
Does anyone have positive thoughts on using a half moon switch instead of a pedal to control rotor speed? I currently use a switch pedal with my Nord 5D. If your holding down a chord with your left hand in the lower octave of the keyboard, can you flip the switch your wrist without lifting your hand off the keys? ksoper
There doesn't seem to be a rule about where the switch is supposed to be mounted. Mine sits in front of the upper half of preset keys. In this position using my wrist wouldn't work. I've seen folks mount the switch in the middle of the lower manual, giving the ability to use either hand or maybe even a wrist. If all you want to do is switch speeds that may be fine. For me and many other players manipulating the half moon is as much a part of the performance as moving drawbars. I want the switch where I can "play" it. I prefer the half moon over a footswitch for that reason. Hope this helps.
